A Weekend on Old Monmouth

NMHA Members Reception and Celebration!

at Grover House, Friday May 1st, 2026, from 5:30pm to 7:30pm

Grover House, an historic 1730s farmhouse, on the National and New Jersey Registers of Historic Places, and on the Weekend in Old Monmouth tour, and the Board of Trustees welcomes you to a Reception and Celebration at Grover House on Friday, May 1st when light refreshments will be available.

Please RSVP by clicking on 'Register' at the left of your screen and remember to click "Confirm" at the end to complete your registration.

Attend any time from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. This is a free event for Members  and we will use the number of registrations to guide our catering requirements. Thank you. There is ADA access to the house from the parking lot and an ADA bathroom. 

The Monmouth County Historical Commission has scheduled A Weekend in Old Monmoutha self-guided tour of more than 50 historic sites and museums in Monmouth County, for the first weekend in May. Grover House will be open for A Weekend in Old Monmouth on Saturday, May 2nd from 10:00am - 5:00pm and Sunday, May 3rd from 12:00 noon to 5:00pm.  Whether you want to volunteer to be a docent at Grover House or learn more about the Grover Family and NMHA, put A Weekend in Old Monmouth on your calendar.

Four rooms have been renovated by NMHA volunteers in since 2018: the main meeting room, the kitchen and bathroom, the main living room, and the main hallway.

This is a work in progress and there are two remaining areas to be renovated.
