The intriguing and little-known story of the Revolutionary War conflicts between a runaway slave called Col. Tye fighting for the British and his Patriot foe.

          Runaway British fighters  >>

<< Col. Huddy being taken from prison.

The extralegal hanging of militia Capt. Joshua Huddy in Highlands, New Jersey created an interrnational incident when George Washington resolved to hang a British P.O.W. in retribution.

These incidents threatened the success of the Paris Peace Treaty talks which were saved by the intervention of the Queen of France, Marie Antoinette.

Learn from an experienced naturalist how to start identifying birds of the Navesink on your own, about great spots in the region for birding (including what you can expect to find), and what makes a location a great area for bird activity.

This multimedia presentation will get you excited to look in your neighborhood, local park or backyard for our area’s exceptional range of migratory and year-round birds.

Lindsay will also draw on her experience supporting bird banding research to share insights into how concerned community members are using science to learn about, monitor, and protect birds.

          About Lindsay
