Bus Trip to Explore Snug Harbor & The Noble Maritime Collection (05/17/2026)

Join us for a motor coach trip to the Noble Maritime Collection and the historic grounds of Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Garden.

Our visit will include:

Noble Maritime Collection
A unique museum celebrating maritime art, history, and the working waterfront of New York Harbor, with a focus on the life and work of artist John A. Noble.

Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Garden
A stunning 83-acre campus of historic buildings, landscaped gardens, and cultural spaces, including access to the renowned New York Chinese Scholar’s Garden.

Join us for a day of art, history, gardens, and fresh air—all without the hassle of getting there.

Trip Details

Lunch:

Bring your own lunch to enjoy during a group picnic on the scenic grounds. We’ll gather in designated picnic areas, and our driver will make coolers available with any meals packed on the bus. You may also explore nearby dining options on or around the Snug Harbor campus. We will provide suggestions.

Schedule:

Depart Grover House (930 West Front Street, Red Bank): 10:00 AM
Arrive at Snug Harbor: approximately 11:15 AM
Depart Snug Harbor: 4:00 PM
Return to Grover House: before 5:30 PM

The 8^th Rally for the Rivers Eco-Fest at Victory Park, Rumson. It's a great event for young kids!

Saturday, June 6^thfrom 9:00am to 12:30pm

This gathering of environmental and ecology-friendly organizations will entertain and inform you and your children through fun projects and activities throughout the morning.

Organized by Clean Ocean Action and the Rumson Environmental Commission to focus on keeping our local rivers and creeks healthy, this is the fifth Eco-Fest to be held in Victory Park.

It's free and open to everyone.

Bring your kids for some fun at the NMHA Table and visit all the other organizations as well.

NMHA Charter to View the Tall Ships in Sandy Hook Bay

July 3rd departing at 9:00am from Atlantic Highlands Marina

NMHA has secured a unique opportunity to view the tall ships during Sail 250. The tall ship fleet will be anchoring in Sandy Hook Bay in preparation for the July 4 parade from Raritan Bay to Manhattan.

We have arranged for a bagels and bloody marys, 0900 to 1130, morning cruise on July 3, 2026 on the Navesink Queen to view the vessels at the best time of day, with the best light, lowest wind, smoothest water and hopefully smallest crowds.

This is a Members Only opportunity for active Members on July 3^rd. Ticket price is $125 per person and Members may bring one guest. The price included bagels, coffee cake, OJ, coffee and tea, Bloody Marys and Mimosas.

The cruise starts a 9:00am and concludes at 11:30am. Boarding starts at 8:45 am so we suggest you arrive to the harbor by 8:30am to secure parking.

The exact number of ships that will be anchored in Sandy Hook Bay is not known. According to SAIL250, we anticipate a good showing. The Navesink Queen sails in light rain and light winds. Bring binoculars and a camera and wear appropriate clothing for the weather. SAIL250

River Rangers 2026 Canoeing Program: Week 1 July 27-31 (07/27/2026)

RIVER RANGERS℠ 2026 - Summer Canoeing Fun on the Navesink

River Rangers 22^ndyear!

This award winning on-the-water canoeing program is for youth age 10-14 and runs from Monday through Friday, 8.30 AM to 1:30 PM, under the direction of experienced leaders/counselors, Courtney and Pierre.

Age range is 10 (must be emotionally mature) to 14 (leadership qualities expected). Participant MUST be able to swim. Canoes, paddles, life vests, and expert supervision supplied. Please click on "Register" at the left of your screen to register and pay. More information HERE

Maximum capacity is 20 paddlers each week on a first-come basis with payment confirming the registration.

Price is $275 per paddler and includes five mornings with canoe, life vest, paddle, and a River Rangers T-Shirt.

River Rangers are led by experienced counsellors and visiting bird and other experts enliven and educate.

Paddlers should bring lunch, water, snacks, sunscreen, etc. Exact start and end locations and joining instructions will be provided one week before the event date.

This award winning on-the-water program for youth age 10-14 continues this summer, Monday through Friday, 8.30 AM to 1:30 PM, under the direction of experienced leaders/ counselors, Courtney and Pierre.
