BELFORD SEAFOOD CO-OP

Belford Harbor and especially the Belford Seafood Co-op probably is Monmouth County's most significant Maritime Heritage site.

NMHA is working with Belford Seafood Co-op in optimizing the Co-op's visibility and long term prospects.

This will consist of a variety of projects, all of which have specific goals. At this stage the following projects are being started up:

1. Net building restoration
2. Bulk head restoration
3. Belford seafood database

Unfortunately in 2012 Super Storm Sandy very heavily damaged the Belford Seafood Co-op and at present simple restoration of the fishing operations is the prime goal.
