Public Presentation: Lost Flights, by diver and explorer Joe Fiorentino

In the summer of 2011, the captains and crew of the dive boat MAC inadvertently ran across a wreck in 100 feet (30.5 meters) of water while returning from two decompression dives. Not having enough air or time to do another dive that day, they revisited the site a year later and found a World War II aircraft. Their plan was to return with cameras, but they never did. In 2023, dive boat Constellation Capt. Harry Roecker and his crew returned to investigate the aircraft. After three trips to the wreck site, the aircraft was identified.

Having served as part of that crew and thoroughly researched the history of the World War II training flights in New Jersey, Joe Fiorentino will highlight the first dives in 70 years to this site and the progress of their investigation to identify this lost World War II aircraft.
