  • MISSION STATEMENT: We aim to preserve the knowledge and instill an appreciation of our local New Jersey maritime heritage through educational programs that teach wooden boatbuilding skills, preserve the maritime history of Monmouth County regional boatbuilders, and protect the marine environment through experiential education program of River Rangers exploration of the waterfront.
  • LOCATION: Navesink Maritime Heritage Association's offices are at the Grover House, 930 West Front Street, Red Bank, NJ 07701. Board meetings and other special events are held there, while public presentations and meetings are held at Bahrs Landing Restaurant, 1 Bay Avenue, Highlands, NJ.

  • HISTORY: NMHA's history dates back to 1999 when volunteer members of the Monmouth Boat Club organized a family and community boat building event in Red Bank during the RiverFest weekend.
     
  • HALL OF FAME: The success of NMHA rests on the efforts and kindnesses of many people. This page thanks those who made a special effort to support NMHA's mission.
