Presentation: The Two Rivers, a Historical Review Through the Lens of Marine Biology by Richard Kane

The Navesink River, Shrewsbury River, and Sandy Hook Bay have been the sites of fascinating historical events. Still, only a little research has been done on the history of these estuaries themselves. Richard will be examining these estuaries, from the last glacial maximum to the modern day, through the lens of physical oceanography, marine biology, and fisheries management.

Using these broad historical trends and modern environmental science, he will be identifying the most pressing threats to our estuaries and discussing their future.

REGISTRATION is REQUIRED for this event so please click on Register at the left of your screen. If you plan to Zoom, your email is essential to you receivthe meeting link.

Richard Kane is a senior at Monmouth University studying Marine Biology and Environmental Policy.
