Rik van Hemmen, President of NMHA, will describe the events of the War of 1812 as it relates to the epic naval battles between the nascent US Navy and the mighty British Royal Navy.

Some of the ships participating in these battles have been depicted by renowned maritime painter Maarten Platje in 15 epic paintings, all of which are on display through November 22 in two of the art galleries at the Twin Lights Lighthouse museum.
