PUBLIC PRESENTATION: Designing & Building a Stretched Dory by Don Betts.

Don Betts and friends had been building coxed four- and six-oared Whitehall and Cornish gigs at various locations from Maine to New York City, and wanted to build a simpler rowing boat.

They decided to build a four-oared 26' stretched dory from a John Gardner drawing of a 19' dory. Don's talk will show how the design came about and the construction at part of Team Youth Rowing.

7:30pm: Light refreshments.

8:00pm - 9:00pm: Presentation
